Hold On (2018)
Country music is full of strong female artists, and Melissa Mickelson is adding her name to that list with her newest single "Hold On" as well as a spring 2018 tour. Listen to "Hold On" by playing the video above, stream the single on Spotify, download it on iTunes, and keep reading for Mickelson's 2018 tour dates.
This is Mickelson's first single since last year's "Scars To Your Beautiful" but it's more than the next song for the singer-songwriter, who grew up in an Air Force family moving between military bases in Oklahoma and Texas. Not only did she develop a love for country music, but she also has a tremendous respect for those who serve in any kind of capacity, and that's reflected in the new single that will tug at some heartstrings as well as some ears.
"'Hold On' is more than just a song to me; I’ve lived it," Mickelson told AXS in an exclusive email statement. "I wrote this song for anyone who has had a spouse or partner that is a first responder, doctor or nurse or anyone that has done shift work. They know that sometimes you have to take time to make time. As [the] wife of a first responder, I know how hard that can be."
